Default BBC Regional Channels

Hi,

I live in Leicester (BBC East Midlands) but my Sky+ digibox is set up to
receive BBC West Midlands.

How do I find out if BBC East Midlands is available? If it is how do I set
up my V2 Sky+ box to receive it?

Thanks very much for any help.

Regards

Sonars UK

It will be up above 940 in the EPG along with all the other BBC regional
variations.

Thanks.

Is there anyway to swap this channel to 101?

Regards,

I too get on Channel 101 a BBC1 region that I don't want -
BBC South-East. I would prefer BBC South on channel 101. Is
there anyway that this can be arranged?

Cheers -

Move to an area served by BBC South & then inform Sky of your change of address.

The BBC are using region information that is inaccurate for their channels
and until they do their own mapping and then pass the updated info onto
SKY then there is no practical solution for the user.
I suspect that since all the regions are on the EPG the BBC don't consider
a new region map high priority.

Digibox software will be coming "soon" to allow this. Probably some
time in 2004.

You arent the only one.
I live in Luton which is Anglia West.
On BBC1 East (East) which means I get news from Norwich Suffolk and
Essex instead of news from Northants, Beds, & Cambs.
Whilst even worse I get London news ( which is 30 miles away ) and
they never have any news from this part of the South Midlands at all
we dont exist !

Okay, you guys complain WAY too much!

Here in the United States, we very rarely see our cities on the news, let
alone hear about them, unless we live in Washington DC, NYC, or Los Angeles.
Otherwise, CNN figures "Why bother?"

Instead, we have to look to locals, and even they don't have all of the
local news. Imagine--we're a HUGE country! You guys can afford one or two
BBC channels, and be lucky that you receive many BBC Channels!

Cheers
