Sky+ abroad

Hi there! I've checked the FAQ and can't find the answer to the following
question, but I'm confident that there are quite a few brainboxes out there
that can help.
As an ex-pat living abroard, already using a Panny box, could I replace it
with a Sky+ box and get my current card re-authorized from the UK.
I guess I will benefit from the Dolby 5.1 output, but more importantly, will
I be able to use the HD recorder and get program listings without the phone
line connected?

Yes. You will need an extra LNB feed for full functionality.

Yes. The phone connection serves no useful purpose and the Sky+, like
all digiboxes, will function 100% without it. The Sky+ phone
connection requirement is purely contractual and is not currently
policed.
