Perhaps I will be encouraged to resubscribe. On the other hand, they might
not get rid of the DOG. On Mon, 08 Dec 2003 16:57:50 +0000, AJD wrote: SKY|one new look 05.01.04 -- .. |

Presumably they'll make the idents widescreen at the same time as they make the adverts widescreen. 1 July 2000, isn't it...? ;-) Charlie -- Remove NO-SPOO-PLEASE from my email address to reply Please send no unsolicited email or foodstuffs |

Sky One no longer seem to have a red dot permanently onscreen. The content
is still available by pressing red, but like C4 the constant presence has gone. About time too. Yeah but I meant the logo as well. If only UK Gold could stop doing it either side of the ad break, as well as not having "7 days until...(another set of ****ing themed repeats)" and actually implement 16:9 broadcasts. Do you think there are many (any?) old programmes that are available in widescreen? -- .. |

Do you think there are many (any?) old programmes that are available in widescreen? UK Gold transmit quite a few programmes that were recorded in W/S. However, they just crop them. If UKGold want me to subscribe then they will need to remove the excessive DOGs and show W/S material in W/S. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these. Do you think there are many (any?) old programmes that are available in widescreen? For the UK... channels, shows from the last few years are still repeated (when they get round to it) on the main channels in 16:9, but it wouldn't take much to change it over for the pay channels. As for Sky, they're buying in the new series in 16:9, but it's doubtful they'd re-buy the rights for the previous ones because they'll only be repeats. Perhaps when those rights run out and they want to show them again, they'll buy the 16:9 rights. -- Dom Robinson Gamertag: DVDfever email: dom at dvdfever dot co dot uk /* http://DVDfever.co.uk (editor), http://LeilaniWeb.co.uk (editor), /* 959 DVDs, 269 games, 33 videos, 68 cinema films, 70 CDs, laserdiscs & news /* max payne 2, daewoo setpal, hamtaro, yesspeak, rainbow six 3, terminator 3 ITV "blackouts" on Sky Digital - http://tinyurl.com/w4mf (UPDATED) Adam Shaw to host HIGNFY! - http://tinyurl.com/w4m7 |
