Sky One no longer seem to have a red dot permanently onscreen. The content is
still available by pressing red, but like C4 the constant presence has gone.
About time too.

If only UK Gold could stop doing it either side of the ad break, as well as
not having "7 days until...(another set of ****ing themed repeats)" and
actually implement 16:9 broadcasts.

UK Gold transmit quite a few programmes that were recorded in W/S.
However, they just crop them.

If UKGold want me to subscribe then they will need to remove the
excessive DOGs and show W/S material in W/S.

For the UK... channels, shows from the last few years are still repeated (when
they get round to it) on the main channels in 16:9, but it wouldn't take much
to change it over for the pay channels.

As for Sky, they're buying in the new series in 16:9, but it's doubtful they'd
re-buy the rights for the previous ones because they'll only be repeats.
Perhaps when those rights run out and they want to show them again, they'll
buy the 16:9 rights.
