We don't know the full truth of it, but there are 2 factors: - The BBC being "unencrypted" has upset NewsCorp / Fox. - Fox got greedy and asked for too much money. Personally, I would love to see "24" on FIVE. http://logofreetv.org/ XML Newsfeeds: http://forum.logofreetv.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=865 -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

Fox wanted to charge OTT for the 3rd series that wasn't doing that well in the US - the broadcasting to Europe bit was a smokescreen, IMHO. In any event, the second series was pretty poor after the first, so I don't see this as a big loss. I gave up on series 2 half way through - way too boring and formulaic. That's the trouble with US shows - they're flogged to death. Now the Beeb will have put something hopefully better on in its place. Clem |

The same is happening with S3, a little slow to start but it is getting pretty good again now (albeit pretty predictable) |

If Five show it, it will be on at 8:00 pm for about 15 weeks before vanishing without trace. Channel 4 would edit it for a tea time audience, show 3 episodes and then broadcast the rest in the prestigous 2 am slot in three years time. -- Anya : "I provide much needed sarcasm" Xbox live : neil hopkins Note that there is an exclusive spam filter on this email address.
