Well it says here that bbc 3-4 are free but going by sky they're
not and need subscribing to. Going by the many bbc adverts of
late is there some sexing up going on?

Try posting to uk.tech.tv.sky.

Hi other groups. I was wonder if you could shed some like on issue.
I was saying as to how something was up with the sky and bbc
websites saying as to how you could get bbc 3 & 4 for free when in reality
they needed a subscription. It was inferred that it maybe me or my machine.
Is it me or them?

And on a slightly different note is it possible to fix the viewing card.

All BBC TV and radio stations are Free to Air on both D-Sat (aka Sky)
and DTT (aka Freeview). No viewing card, nor subscription are required
for their reception

You do not need a subscription, you do not need a card, you don't even need
a sky digibox. All BBC channels are available from the Astra 2D satellite at
28.2ºE with any DVB satellite receiver.
