Default £23.50

Oh dear sky have switched off ITV CH4 & 5ive and they want £23.50 for
a new card but they don't say how long the new card will last.

And here's me thinking that these 3 channels depended on people
watching their adverts.

Freeview here I come.

Well first any payment you make goes to CH4 since they are managing
this new FTV system although obviously since SKY supply the cards they
will get the majority of that amount.
Second the card is guaranteed for two years (In reality longer since the first
card issue lasted 5 years) which I believe the website states quite clearly and
has been reported in the press.

As for ITV1, CH4 and Five it's upto them how they broadcast on digital
satellite, if they want or need to be encrypted then Videoguard via SKY
is the cheapest and most secure system. A similar system applies to digital
cable (TW & NTL), you have to pay them a monthly sub to get access to
a suitable digital STB and smartcard.

Freeview is a very good alternative if you have the option.

Pout?

What does a "Pout" card look like?
Does it look the same as a Sky card or does it have an erotic picture or something similar on it?
