Default Back to the bad old days of dodgy software?

I've been having problems with my Digibox over the last couple of
weeks - loss of EPG, regular 'resets' overnight etc. and I see that
there's an increase in people reporting problems here.

After a protracted period of software stability, are we back to the
annoying situation of having an unstable software release? If so I'll
be pretty hacked off as the last time this happened (about a year ago
IIRC) it was a royal PITA for a month or two.

Suffering a loss of the EPG details.
If I search through the channels it brings up the now/next information.
This happened last year and I contacted Sky.
They admitted no liability but eventually the software was updated and all
was well.
I didn`t keep a note of what version was being used but I`m sure it has
recently changed.
If it ain`t broke..........

I think that it's only $ky+ boxes that seem to be having problems. Both
of my $ky boxes (Sony, Pannie) have been very stable - I'm dreading the
next upgrade, whenever it comes, which could screw things up.

It sounds like your digibox isn't very well .....

I'm getting the exact same symptoms as I got last year when there
was dodgy software about. After an update back then it worked fine
until now.

Looks like Sky have cocked it up yet again. Last time it was a
couple of months of complete frustration... you can't even leave the
box switched to a channel to record a program as it could reset to 998
or crash.

Funny that! I came on here tonight to post exactly the same thing. Pace Box.
Last few days the epg details all completely lost. Exactly same as last
year. Sky+ box has got no problems at all (apart from stopping the series
link on Eastenders for the missus, She was so ****ed off at missing some
wedding last weekend, she nearly threw the remote acress the room.

At least I know I'm not the only one. Whan they did actually fix it last
year, they brought in the low battery in your remote feature. Maybe they
have another brainwave to dump upon us.

Pete
