Default PIN code to watch box office?

Should the box ask me for a pin code if I watch a box office movie? Is it a
configurable setting?

Not sure about watching a box office movie, but it is configurable whether
it asks or not when ordering one. Go to Services / Parental Control /
Spending Limit. If you set the Spending Restriction 'ON' and set a value of
£0.00, you will have to enter your PIN whenever you order any box office
programme. Setting the value to any other amount will mean the PIN is
required for orders over that amount, but not for ones under it.

Thanks. I've reset the box a few times, and previously it has asked for a
pin but not this time, that setting must have been changed on one of the
resets.

You need to enter your PIN when ordering a 15 or 18 rated film before
9pm. This may explain the behaviour you are seeing.
