No, but do as I do.
1. Start to record the programme as soon as it starts
2. Do something else/watch another programme for 10 minutes
3. Return and watch programme being recorded
4. Fast-forward through the adverts
5. By the time you have finished watching the programme you have caught-up
with the real-time version

In a way you can, but its much easier to record them and then skip them on
play back.
