Sky/Sky+ rental

Doesn't anyone do rentals for all the Sky equipment including the
dish? I'd certainly prefer to rent, given its unreliability.

I can't comment on Sky+ but the plain Sky boxes seem to be very
reliable, and if they do go kaput you can get a decent Panasonic box o
nebay for £70. I have three silver Pansonic's in my house and haven't
had any problems at all. I did put a heatsink on the CPU of our
receiver in the kitchen because it gets pretty hot in there.

Even with Sky+ people report that they tend to replace receivers for
the £65 call-out anyway, so after six months on most rentals you'd be
quids-in anyway.
