We watched About a Boy last night, and having Sky+ I fed the digital audio
output as usual through my Denon 3803. I was really fed up as the lipsync was out, and seemed to alter - I mean wasn't a fixed problem, also the soundtrack seemed very quiet - although the amp had no probs picking up the digital signal straight away. Haven't watched a sky movie with Dolby Digital for a month or so, and were a bit disappointed with this. Is everyone having trouble with dolby digital on $ky ? Ian P.S As I'm using a plasma I double checked my audio delay settings, but they work perfectly for all the other channels. |

Not sure about the other problems, but Dolby Digital sountracks (along with DTS) are normally at a lower volume than standard stereo so as not to max out and blit high volume moments. I meant much lower volume than usual. You're right Dolby is always lower
volume than stereo or prologic on Sky. Comparing Sky's Dolby to a DVD's Dolby, Sky was much quieter - I have not had this happen before, and the amp settings are locked so not "fiddled" with!
