Default Poor Dolby ?

We watched About a Boy last night, and having Sky+ I fed the digital audio
output as usual through my Denon 3803.

I was really fed up as the lipsync was out, and seemed to alter - I mean
wasn't a fixed problem, also the soundtrack seemed very quiet - although the
amp had no probs picking up the digital signal straight away.

Haven't watched a sky movie with Dolby Digital for a month or so, and were a
bit disappointed with this.

Is everyone having trouble with dolby digital on $ky ?

Ian

P.S As I'm using a plasma I double checked my audio delay settings, but they
work perfectly for all the other channels.

Not sure about the other problems, but Dolby Digital sountracks (along
with DTS) are normally at a lower volume than standard stereo so as
not to max out and blit high volume moments. Solution: Turn amp up.

I meant much lower volume than usual. You're right Dolby is always lower
volume than stereo or prologic on Sky.

Comparing Sky's Dolby to a DVD's Dolby, Sky was much quieter - I have not
had this happen before, and the amp settings are locked so not "fiddled"
with!
