Default Help! and why so many problems?

We've had sky for around 22 months, on our second or third digibox, had bits
of the dish replaced, and now it's gone wrong again. Basically it works for
4-8 months and then back to the usual "no satellite signal is being
received" message. This time, just one day after upgrading to Sky World
(coincidence?). I really don't want to pay £65 for a callout (I'm gonna
miss the Liverpool/ManU match now anyway) and might just jack it all in
completely.

Is this amount of problems usual? Is there anything I can do myself?

Really pee'd off now.

Write to Sky detailing the problems, giving dates.

Indicate that the service is not of merchantable quality and that
failing a rapid and durable replacement you will pursue them in court
for a full refund of all lost money.

No, both mine have been very reliable no problems on either for more than

2
years.

Just to update, they sent an engineer out on Tuesday, he replaced the box
again with a really slow Amstrad unit, and it went wrong within 30 minutes
of him leaving. Rang them again, they said they'd send someone out to do a
full system check. Guy arrived this morning, hooked a beeper up and said
"it's your dish". He realigned the dish and said he wasn't surprised and it
was put up really badly in the first place.

So anyway, 20 minutes later "no signal is being received" pops up again...
They're sending someone else next Tuesday. I am not impressed.
