I just discovered that my Sky+ installer has laid cable inside my roof
gutter. It isn't pinned in there - it's just lying in the bottom of the gutter for about 5 metres and getting submerged in water during heavy rain - and presumably helping leaves and other small debris to build up in the gutter. Is this normal practice? Stan |

Is this normal practice? Small debris and leaves normally do build up in the gutter, yes. You should clean it out occasionally. --Nick. -- http://www.blackstar.co.uk/scp/id/what - Want DVDs/Games? Is this normal practice? The cable could possibly rot quicker than it would normally. Thinking also where the cable enters and exits the gutter,It could block smaller debris at either point and cause a blockage, I'd ask Sky to get the installer back to re-route the cable. Pehaps he was thinking along the lines of Sky News when doing it Gutter press and then thinking of dog-ridden channels making it Gutter TV ;-) |
