Default sky tv "favourite channels"

Ok got a question for you guys....hope you can help

I've got a second hand digibox where some radio channels such as Hit
List/Soul Classics, etc. have been selected(ticked) as favourite
channels by the previous owner. My problem now being that I can't
deselect them since they don't show up on the list (have an irish sky
tv card now). This is thus seriously reducing the number of favourite
channels i can select.
thx for the help guys!

No, rebooting does not clear out old stored favourites where the service has
since been removed. More help needed please cos I have the same problem.

Have you tried actually reading the FAQ?

I can't get rid of personal planner reminders or favourites in the EPG.

Remove the viewing card out and reinsert it upside down or back to
front.
Disconnect the box from the mains. Wait 20 seconds or so
Plug the box back in and allow to reboot for 60 seconds
Press the sky button. The box will switch on to channel 998 with an
error message about your card
Remove the card and reinsert it the correct way around. Your problem
should be fixed

Hey all.
I've spent the past 20 minutes following this procedure exactly. IT DOES NOT
WORK. I've done it before and it has worked but not anymore.

Read the FAQ. This question is covered there and the solution works.

I just tried this and it worked. I had a rogue setting in my PP which is
now cleared and also all the favourites which were left from old services
that have now finished, have also been cleared. There are some left but
they can be cleared through Services 5 and unchecking the selection.
Thanks for this, it's bugged me for months

I live in Ireland and sky must have changed the sky sports 1 that was in the
epg recently now we have a sky sports 1 that has no number and is above 999
but before 101. As I've said before I've tried the steps outlined in the faq
a load of times and it doesn't work.
