Does the Pout 'trick' still work?
Or is the £23.50 replacement from free2view the only option for cheap skates
like me......?

Did it on Tuesday and receiver a V2 card to replace my Solus card today.

The Registration "suceeded" and I believe it says it will charge me a

On a simillar theme, have you seen the price of second-user Sky boxes on
Ebay now! £25 plus £15 for a dish. The new generation of boxes means
that the basic models have never been more affordable.

The price of the Panasonic DSB30 on eBay is still holding up well though.
Presumably because of its reputation for good reception in fringe areas outside
the UK. It looks like I could sell mine & buy two Pace 2500s for the same money.

In fact if like this buyer I insist that I am not responsible if the box gets
lost in the post then I don't even have to give up my box. Just keep the money &
say 'Tough **** - blame the Royal Mail':-)

BTW Any lawyers among you care to comment on the legality of such a disclaimer?
I'm pretty sure that it doesn't hold water but then what do I know?

Hopefully the number of bids he gets will reward his concern for his buyers

If you use that address it probably will work and your current P1 card will
become "unauthorised" very quickly.
The replacement card will be sent to your old address.
This happened to me but luckily the person at the other address is a
relative of mine :-)
Why not ring Pout and register as a new customer? Tell 'em you bought a box
independent of Sky without a card.
