Default Sky + problem quick question

I recently posted about my problem with sky +, the box keeps going into
standby mode and losing all recordings. It just switches off when it feels
like it.

Anyway sky are coming out this Thursday to change the box. My questions are

1) Will I get a new or a refurbished box ?

2) How can I tell if the box is new or a refurbished one ?

I have only had my sky+ 1 day and it developed a fault, if that makes any
difference.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Demand a new one.

Look at it very carefully! Obviously if it was any other good, say a camera
or a hifi system or a washing machine you wouldnt put up with a used
replacement after one day, its no different here.

Mine went faulty after about 3 months just got stuck in standby....Sky guy
took one look at it and said he would give me a brand new box

So they do give new boxes (and not always without asking!!!) guess it would
be impossible though to spot a refurbished box that had been sent back to
the factory and all packaged up again to look like new.
