From January 1st Family sub will be £19.50 according to letter with
this months magazine.
That's me off to Telewest then.

I thought they charged more or less. :-)

You might save money - but I migrated FROM cable and I wouldn't go back if
they offered it for free.

Aye, to 40 quid.

A five percent rise - well above inflation.

I also migrated to Sky from cable (ntl) and there's absolutely no way I'm
going back, even if they offered it to me for free. If they did make such an
offer, I'd probably take it and keep it there as a backup (might as well if
it's free), but I'd still be using Sky as my main source of televisual
entertainment.

The peace of mind I have gained from moving to Telewest from Sky is that Sky
don't have control over my digibox (i.e can knock it out at will but
"conveniently" send an engineer around for "just" £65 and all will be well
again).

Sorry, did I inadvertently suggest that Sky were running a racket by sending
signals to knock boxes out and then rake it in by sending their own
engineers to "fix" the boxes?

Silly me, I didn't mean that at all.
