Default Restore a Sky+ subscription from abroad

Hi,

I have a Sky+ subscription I arranged with a uk satellite dealer 1
year ago. My card has been switched off because my credit card number
has changed and I need to tell sky the new number. The problem is that
all this stuff was managed by this uk installer that now is not
offering his service anymore.
I'd like to try to call Sky from abroad masking the caller ID (I know
this would be a problem), but do you know which kind of information
they require when you call them? Do you know if "Viewing card number"
and new Credit card number are sufficient or other information are
expected?

Firstly if you withhold your overseas CLI Sky should see it as just
that. They should not be able to tell that the call is International
inbound since withheld is designed to mask everything, including the
originating country.

Secondly if you have a UK mobile call from that - again Sky can't
readily tell if you are outside the UK.

Thirdly you could ask a UK friend to call on your behalf and request a
new diect debit/credit card mandate form. This will be mailed to the
UK address your card is registered to. You can then ask your friend
to fill it in with your details and post it back to Sky (Ihave just
done something similar myself last week). If the UK address has
changed then give Sky a new UK address etc.

That's probably enough though you should also know your subscriber
number and be aware of the name and address that is registered with
Sky. Now you know why these third party deals are to be avoided.

Ideally get someone in the UK to call for you.
