Default "no satellite signal" on BBC1,2 and ITV...

....but C4 and C5 and upwards are OK (well I havent tried all the channels
but it just seems to be those 3.

Getting this intermittently off my S1 S+ box, often first thing in the
morning Switching it off at the mains and then on again (obviously :-)
fixes it. Whats likely to be the source of the problem?

Can't see it in the FAQ's. Thought I'd look as I have the problem myself.
Mainly on ITV though. Not experienced it on any BBC channels. I thought it
may have something to do with my dish being slightly out of alignment. But I
moved a couple of months ago and also had Sky+ installed. Still happens on
my old box (which is now the mirrored one) even with a new dish! It can
easily be fixed (for me anyway. If I'm on something like Sports1 and tap in
"103" for itv, then it comes up with "No Sattelite signal recieved" (or
words to that effect). Use the channel up button to go to channel four and
then back to itv and all is well. Good signal here. 75% showing about 85% on
my sky+box.

I don't know what to say.

Here's the extract:

My box works but I can't get ITV/BBC

You may have a 22khz switching problem.
The 22khz problem prevents the LNB from switching between the upper and lower bands when the receiver sends a 22khz signal to the cable. It can be caused by the following: 1) A faulty LNB that just doesn't switch - there is a known problem with one old batch of Grundig LNBs. 2) Duff cable or some in-line gadgetry that doesn't allow the signal to pass. 3) A faulty digibox that doesn't output the signal. 4) A known incompatibility between some models of Panasonic digibox and some Cambridge LNBs. Testing your box on a friend's dish and vice-versa will normally isolate the problem.

Ooopsy! Thanks.

Given that switching the box off and on again fixes it, that its
intermittent and therefore that (2) and (4) dont apply, looks as if I have a
problem either with my Sky+ box or with the LNB (But I doubt its the faulty
grundig one since it was only installed this Jan..
