Sky Oneare at it agian. They want to let everyone know they sponsor a
stupid stunt , so they decided to spoil all the other programs by
showing a DOG. I measured it on my TVand it's 8:1 inches. Maybe
that's why they went Widescreen, so they can have more room to put
their DOGs.

Same thing happened with Channel 4 and Big Bro. As I'm watching
everything on Tivo I'm unable to hit the backup button. And I'm not
interested in hitting the red button anyway for anything stupid, so
they should stop spoiling our viewing pleasure, or make a semi
transparent DOG at least.

Sadly, the folks at Sky told us they like these "promotions" on screen so
because they "find them useful", monolithically everyone else has to receive
the same as Sky's low taste.

It is also worth spending 5 minutes and logging your grievance with the ITC:

If you wish, send LOGOFREETV a copy, and we will also record the issue for
the public record.

Please stop polluting and spoiling a perfectly good newsgroup with this
whining crap. You lost the argument about graphics a long time ago.
Nobody who matters cares and all complaints from the minority of people
with no lives who moan about it constantly are ignored by the
broadcasters.

Fact.

You are being laughed at. Hope it makes you happy.

No he didn't.

Nobody who matters cares

That's largely true of the BBC (inc. the UK channels) and Channel 4, but Five
listened and ITV have said they'll look at dropping the red dot on programmes
that would use once the thing has become second nature.

and all complaints from the minority of people
with no lives who moan about it constantly are ignored by the

Fact.

So Five's DOG never disappeared? BBC3 never removed theirs from films and some
programmes?

You are being laughed at. Hope it makes you happy.

Yet you're the one being so damn passive about it, while clearly proclaiming
that fact.

I was insane enough to press red about 3:00am this morning and had the sound
fairly loud whilst D-ling some proggies on the PC...A sudden bang made me
jump.

Turned out the usual thugs throwing an egg or something at the box :-))

I could'nt believe how many spectators were there at that time of the
morning...Was it homeless people wanting to know how he'd got a plastic one
when they still have to use cardboard LOL!

Everybody matters in a healthy righteous and democratic society.

and all complaints from the minority of people
with no lives who moan about it constantly are ignored by the
broadcasters.

Fact.

The BBC or businesses ignore minorities at their cost. Every dissatisfied
viewer is potential lost business that might easily be turned into a
profitable relationship.

It is sinful to dissatisify your potential customers who may easily be
profitable customers. A sin to ones shareholders, and this breaks the global
remit of the BBC Charter.

As for the personal attack, we argue with respect and dignity. Against such
an unjustified and unfounded personal attack, we are men with manners. Those
who would oppose our legitimate freedom of expression are not.

So Five's DOG never disappeared? BBC3 never removed theirs from films and

So be it. Laugh away. We do not allow people like Mr Masterton (
http://www.masterton.co.uk/ ) to dictate our personal taste.

http://logofreetv.org/ - because we are standing up for a legitimate point
of view.

Television services should exist for the good of society - not simply be
commercial franchises for generating profits and capital for their owners.
