Blaine - just how doped up was he?

I know that he usually sounds like he's a slow learner, but tonight's
performance made me wonder whether he's still suffering 'concussion' from
the fall from his last stunt.

The technique concerning David Blaine is to remember that he is a
mediocre illusionist performing a not too amazing stunt, that wouldn't
be astounding even if he weren't cheating, which he is.

In summary, just ignore the ****head or see him for what he is.

How's he cheating?? Mediocre?? ****head??

He has food in there. Loads of small high energy foods.

But did you notice that the box was on a stage.

When he got in the box , he was very precise to put his bags in a certain
location.

About 7 minutes later , he is lifted.

Why? Because when the box was on the ground the floor had a trap in it.
Someone has put food in his bag through a hole in the bottom (velcrod so it
looks like a complete bag. Just before he is lifted , he shuffles round the
box a bit as the false floor is replced from below buy a solid perspex
floor.

He's cheating because he is an illusionist. Ilusionists by definition
cheat. It's quite simple to consider ways that this and other stunts
before have been doctored to remove most of the danger (e.g. clear
perspex in his 'ice' stunt, straps and hidden supports in his 'tower' &
London Eye stunt, camera trickery etc.). From the scant amount of info
concerning this particular stunt, I can think of several ways of
cheating including simply feeding him liquid mush through the water pipe
or more blatantly by smuggling food in via his mattress or other
paraphenalia, or by scheduled medical checks or any other contact he
might have with the outside world. At the end of it all, the only
endurance going on is enduring the boredom which is hardly impressive. I
wouldn't be surprised if he has two way communication with his ground staff.

He's mediocre because once the cheating is taken into account, none of
his stunts are very impressive. I'd much more impressed by someone who
very actually endured real hardship and suffering.

And he's a ****head because he's a self important magician comparing his
publicity trick to Auschwitz concentration camp prisoners who really
did face starvation and death. Whereas David just has lucrative TV and
book rights and - in the unlikely event of real danger - a full backup
team to help him out.

So yes he's all of those things.

I notice that the live feed of Blaine In A Box seems to cut away to
shots of the tourists and people walking around, for no apparent
reason. I'm not the only one who finds that suspicious, am I?

Re; comments raised above about David Blaine. I was just wondering how =
close up you could see the guy. If, as some people are saying, he can =
smuggle food up there, can you see him chew it????!!!
