Can't say as I saw too many of them on alt.satellite.tv.europe
with the servers I use. This may be due to filtering and other

Spam is not necessarily limited to advertising and is more
about repeated unwanted messages. As many people
in europe express an interest in acquiring sky cards its
not such a bad thing if there is an occasional advertisment
for someone providing a service in a newsgroup where
advertising is not specifically prohibited.

Repeatedly posting abusive and off topic messages is
by far worse,
