It can already do that now (rec 2 channels) thats what happens if you
are recording something and then select live pause on another
channel.


You cannot currently schedule two simultaneous programmes for recording. You
have to switch to that channel and activate live pause, which you can't do
unless you're there when the programmes are on. Therefore, you can't
currently record two channels if you aren't there watching them. Many people
use Sky+ to record programmes that are on while they're out of the house.
