Lidl are offering a satellite dish and analogue receiver for £39.90. Astra
and Eutelsat are mentioned in the brochure. IF Frequency is said to be
800-2150 Mhz, but I don't understand what that means. DiSEqC is also
mentioned.

Remote control, and connection cables are said to be included as are the
instructions.

I don't have a satellite dish and receiver and was wondering what channels I
would be able to view through this system. The staff at Lidl have no
information.

I don't know, but if anyone else wants to see this, go to:

Go here http://www.analoguesat.co.uk to see what can be viewed with
that box. There isn't a lot when compared to digital and English
channels are particularly lacking.

Thank you Steve. That is a duplicate of the info in their weekly flyer.
Sometimes they have stuff which is ridicously cheap and I am tempted to

I bought a cheap microwave videosender for £34.99 from Lidl, it's amazing
value for money and every bit as good as my mates £99.99 videosender he
bought from Currys.

This is good value for money,as long as you realise that it's analogue. Lots
of German on 19E.Even if you later buy a digital receiver, you can still use
the dish and LNB. And the analogue receiver can be used as a sat meter to
find sats and then switch to the digital receiver.
