Default SKY+ Dolby Digital....

I Know that a few films are broadcast in Dolby Digital when using a Sky+
Box, but is there any other material that utilises Dolby Digital? Perhaps
BBC's "24" that blatently pops up the Dolby Digital logo before each
episode.

I don't have Sky+ yet, but am thinking of getting it if there is much more
Dolby Digital material than just the odd film on Sky Movies.

Not at present although there is no reason SKY couldn't increase the amount
of DD material on it's platform especially with it's US imports.
The BBC seem to take the view that unless they think of it first then there is no
demand which is a shame because now they are FTA on dsat there are many
models of digital STB that can handle the audio format.

Interesting email from the BBC in this HCC forum, not sure how official it is
but it does seem to be in the style of SKY's generic response.

Dolby require a per-programme payment from broadcasters for showing Dolby
Digital material. Hence the BBC aren't keen on it.

No, the movie channels are the only channels which carry DD.
