anyway the Scottish football won't be on the digital channels! But the bit
that interests me is at the end where he mentions "Dubai Sports" that shows
free WWE and football and more. I've googled for Dubai Sports and found
nothing.. can anyone shed any light? Does it exist, and if so what frequency
etc? Also is there any way to get that channel that shows English football?
The one based in Norway? [or any others] Probably not but might as well ask
before we upgrade to the sports again.

Those Ebay indo thisng are a mixture of common knowledge and bull****.

Dubai sports implies a middle eastern station - so if you can get it my bet
is you will need a much bigger dish.

Dubai Sports is available on Sky Digital via Other Channels. Can't remember
the exact details, but I added it a while ago, and it does show live sport,
though all I have noticed so far is live horse racing. It shows some
English-language programming, too.

Does anyone know where I can find out the full programme schedule? I assume
www.dubaitv.gov.ae/sports/ is the official homepage, but there's no
English-language option on that site. I also found www.dubaisports.com, but
that page isn't opening.

RTL5 is encrypted, It was very briefly FTA a few days ago probably due
to an encryption change.

I believe if you are a dutch resident you can get (for a nominal
charge) a FTV card to decrypt the dutch channels RTL4/5 SBS6 etc -
perhaps ITV1, CH4 and five could learn from this!

The best site for listing football matches on Satellite is

Previously a few channels such as BKTV (hotbird) and NOVY 5 East
showed FTA premiership footy but not last year.

In fact Last Season Almost NO channels or feeds showed any FTA English
football, TV 8 in Analogue on Turksat showed some games towards the
end of the season but they seem to have stopped analogue transmission.
Also in analogue TV 4 from Sweden on 1 West has shown live Saturday
English divison 1 and 2 football.

In fact the only FTA football I have ever seen on the Sky digital
platform is when Galaxie Sport turned off its Cryptoworks encryption
for a short while.

Thanks -- I notice it's eurobird -- do I have to move the dish to recieve
these? The dish is in the default sky installer position and I'm not gonna
bother fiddling with it..seeing as it isn't mine to fiddle with.

Here's how to get free football and WWE:

Call Dish Network and ask for an ABC channel and a UPN channel.

Dubai Sports is on Eutelsat 13 degrees, easy to receive in the UK.

Has good English language sports some of the time.

There is a free-to-air Dubai sports channel available on Eurobird 28.5°E.
This means the vast majority of Sky users can tune it in without even moving
the dish. I don't know if it's the same channel as being discussed in this
thread, but the few times I've viewed it have shown me that it's mostly in
English, and shows mostly English football programmes.
