Hi all!
I was just wondering what TeleText was? I know it has something to do with TV, but I was wondering if I could access it from the Internet? Regards! Matthew |

You can - www.teletext.co.uk for the web version. Press the "About Teletext" link at the bottom of the page for more details of the service. -- Hiram Hackenbacker |

I was just wondering what TeleText was? Known in the States as '"close captioning" though not implemented in the same way. It is a very extensive system of text information invented and developed by the BBC that includes text data in the vertical blanking interval of analogue TV transmissions. There is another setting, called "Text" on American TV [which is hardly ever used], and I'm wondering if that's the same thing? Yes. The only difference I can see is that our CC program and Text program is not interactive. We cannot choose between "pages". That's simply because the broadcasters just don't transmit any pages in the States. In Europe many broadcasters transmit hundreds of pages. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these. Try http://teletext.mb21.co.uk/ - its FAQ section is quite good.
It also shows you what teletext pages look like and what they used to look like. Hope this helps! In article , Matthew Keys writes: Hi all! I was just wondering what TeleText was?
