I recently bought a Panasonic SC-HT920 Home Theater system and hooked up a
Panasonic VCR and a Panasonic DMR E55 DVD recorder to it. The DVD recorder records fine off the VCR and off the TV but it won't record off the other DVD player on the Home Theater's receiver. Any reasons why? I have the DVD Recorder on L1 and the Receiver DVD on L2. I know these are dumb questions but you can never learn if you don't ask'em. Thanks very much for your input. |

Perhaps because the dvd recorder is unable to get past the encoded blocking signal --- Macrovison or whatever --- that is designed to prevent dvds from being copied, just the way you were planning to do? |

The dvd player might had macrovision pulses. Can be remove with a video stabiliser. Here's one! http://www.citysouthelectronics.com.au/stabiliser.html Have never tried it, jean |
