Hi. I have two Sony televisions in the same room (don't ask!). One is
the KP-48S65 and the other is the KP-57WS510. The remote control for the 48" controls both the 48" and the 57" (this is also true vice versa). How do I get the appropiate remote control only control the right TV? |

I don't think you can, both TVs respond to the same signals, there's no way
to make one ignore the other remote, they are both broadcasting the same commands. Only way would be to get an RF remote with a blaster that covers one of the TVs IR windows, so it doesn't see IR remote signals, and control it with the RF remote. Problematic. Sony saves (as do almost all companies) by using the same codes and remotes for multiple products. "tefkay" wrote in message om... Hi. I have two Sony televisions in the same room (don't ask!). Tape a cone around the infrared sensor on each TV. Since the infrared
is directional, the cone may prevent the TV from picking up some stray signal. Now, you have to point more accurately when you use your remote and you don't need both remotes, throw one in the trash. Or cover the top of your remote with a shielding tube to make the IR
more directional. To make it fancier, you can add a lazer pointer in the tube so you can aim your IR more precisely using the lazer sight. (Caloonese) wrote in message . com...
