Default Goodmans Digibox - problem

Hi Folks,

I bought a Goodmans Freeview digibox today, and I'm having a problem with
some faint ghosting images. The digibox is looped up with my video, and I'm
getting ghost images of BBC2 coming through, even on an RGB scart
connection.

Anyone else had this problem? The only way I can stop it, is to remove the
digibox from the loop, but then that means I can't connect my video up to
the external aerial (hope this is making sense!).

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers
O.

Sounds like you have an unscreened scart cable or two. Check by looking
inside the plugs for six thin co-ax's. Reasonable priced screened ones are
available from Maplin or www.cpc.co.uk

Cheers, but it looks like my Sony telly is the problem.
The AV1 socket is what is producing the ghost images, because if I switch my
Video/DVD combo and digibox around (including cables), the ghost images are
now on my Video/DVD combo display and not on my Digibox display. This is
weird, as I remember using this socket before for my old DVD player and it
was fine.

If anyone else can illuminate further please feel free.

O.

Are you also connecting the aerial aswell as the scart lead? if so then this
is where the ghosting is comming from.
