Home Cinema System Setup Help needed...

Hi! Firstly I'm a novice/newb so go easy on me

To business...I wish to setup a new home cinema/console kit and am
kind of mystified by all the connections & cables and was wondering if
someone could point me in the direction or a useful resource to help
me or can help me directly. The kit i wish to connect together is:

Yamaha RVX440 AV unit
XBox for DVD playback/games
Standard Sky delivered Digibox(grundig)
Hitachi Widescreen TV(3years old) has 2 Scart inputs
Sony VCR
Tannoy FX5.1 Speakers

I can work out the speakers, but am having trouble figuring out what I
have to connect to what. I have been told I needed to purchase a new
'advanced' xbox cable and I now have this.

Any help would be gratefully received.

For the Xbox you need an Advanced Scart Cable, then you can link that to the
AV via an optical cable. Just bought 2 x Logic3 ones for my 2 Xboxs and they
come with the optical cable as well.
