Bloody newbie. I've been here for 2 days longer than that.
http://tinyurl.com/2qhl6 Google is frightening when you realise the dirt
it's got on you. I've just been delving back to 1995 and my horrifying past
as an Oasis fan is there for all to see. gulp!

I think I was posting to the home cinema group at the time and slipped in
here with a cross-post. Here's my first post to home cinema, it still makes
me chuckle http://tinyurl.com/34xmb I caught the bug after getting ripped
off by that vicar, and he's cost me thousands!

So how far back does google go nowadays?

Did they get the whole of the deja database, and do they use it??

think so - i have seen posts from the early 90's

this is a quick reference i could find- but i am sure if you stick in
somehting older you will find posts about it!

http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?q=...s.com&rnum =2

obviously there was less people using ti abck then so there will be less
posts etc

The advanced search goes back to 1981. Just enter a word like "computer"
and select 1981 - There's loads of stuff that's over 20 yrs old.
