While spring cleaning and throwing out my old satellite
boxes, I found an S video cable. So, I hooked it up from my 4dtv box to my Mitsu TV. I was on FOX news at the time and it didn't come in. I moved the channel selector on the 'mote and the channel bar came on where there was no signal until I hit Bloomberg on Digital. The picture was excellent but no audio. The other digitals also had video but no sound. Never had S video before, but how could this work on a digital channel partially (no audio) and not at all on the analog one? Tried reconnecting the cable, but same results. Any ideas? BOB |

If it is a 4DTV DSR 920 there is no video output from
analog channels. S-Videois only output on digital channels. "BEYV" wrote in message ... | While spring cleaning and throwing out my old satellite | boxes, I found an S video cable. analog channels. S-Videois only output on digital channels. Thanks for the reply. Where it states model #, it simply says 4dtv, other than that I didn't see a 920 or a 922 anywhere on the receiver. Let's see.., only works on some channels, doesn't have audio. I guess letting the cable burn with the box would have been no great loss. BOB |

To get audio you must also connect the audio outputs. S-Video
does not carry audio on any receiver. "BEYV" wrote in message ... | If it is a 4DTV DSR 920 there is no video output from | analog channels. go to: www.bigdish.info and you can look at some photos.
As I understand it,2 of the main differences between the 920 and the 922 is that: 1) the M1 and M2 motor conenction screws are in different places 2) the 922 has an optical dolby digital 5.1 connection -- http://mrelectronicsca.tripod.com/computers http://www.ezinfocenter.com/8582998 "BEYV" wrote in message ... It is normal for the 920 to have S-video only on the digital channels. The
922 has it on both analog and digital channels. I understand the 922 also has two sets of video outs. One for the monitor and one for a VCR. I may be wrong about that though.
