CRT's? thats the tele's my parents used to watch that were like goldfish
bowls and are now a sad and small bunch in the dusty and neglected corner of
my local Comet store where people walk by and...

hi, thanks for all the advice. what you suggested i tried Andy. first froze
a frame where the black was blocky then tried adjusting the brightness and
contrast (the settings already on were presets)....
