Tivo Remote: Jump-to-Beginning button(s)?

Folks,

Somtimes I accidentally hit a button or button combination that causes my
HDVR2 to jump back to the beginning of whatever it is showing; that is, on
live TV it jumps to the beginning of the buffer, and when watching a
pre-recorded show, it jumps back to the beginning of it.

Does anybody know how to do this?

Jump to end when you're already at the end jumps to the beginning. Therefore,
if you're not at the end, and you hit it *twice*, you'll jump to the
beginning.

I don't know if it works on live tv; I'm recording right now, so I can't test.

Ken,

I forgot to mention that I'm using the 30-second skip hack, which hijacks
the skip-to-end button.

If you're watching a show that is being recorded, that's correct.

'live tv' isn't the big difference, it's 'buffer' or 'non-buffer'. I
don't *know* any way to instantly go to the beginning of the 30min
buffer.

Of course it seems to happen accidentally to me at least 2 or 3 times a
month. "wow, how did it do that?"

Happens to me occasionally as well.

See, Tivo? The software is already written to do it! Now just make it
reliable.

Umm, it could be a *bug* rather than software written to do it.

Its not a bug, its a hidden feature. Now they just need to tell us how
it works.

oh...:)
