NOW TV box.

I have a Now TV box and have connected it and done the install, it now
needs me to active an account before it will work in any form. A
requirement is a take a free trial of Sky Movies, a subscription to Sky
Sports or Entertainment it seems to know I have a Sky ID as a Sky customer.

My question is if I take say the free movie trial in order to get it to
work with iplayers and catch up TV when at the end of the trial I cancel
further Sky Movies does the whole box shut down?
Regards
David

Strange. I have a Now TV box that did not require any
sign-up - it just worked.

That is strange, have you had it long time for things to have changed?

I take it your not paying anything monthly to Sky?

It the answer is no subscriptions then it might indicate mine would
continue with iplayers etc. after the free trial cancelled to stop
automatic monthly payments.

I've had it perhaps 4-5 months and I am not a Sky customer.

the second paragraph of Step 4 it as done the update and now requireing
Username and password.
Did yours not need these and you have had no need to set an account up?

Don't think mine had any instructions, and certainly there
was no need for any account or access control. As I said, it
just worked.

There's no problem about this. Make sure to cancel the free movie trial
before the month is up and the box will continue to access all the free
content.

There's an advert for NowTV boxes in today's paper and it says 'NowTV
account required to activate.'

How come in the advert it says "from £9.99" but everyone I've seen in
the shops is priced at about £29.00!
