So what's happened is that you have constructed an unsubstantiated hypothesis (that I [Bill] 'speaks for everybody') yet you go on to say that you find your own hypothesis 'hard to grasp'. You then go on to say that it is wrong. Assuming that you are critical of me because you feel that I break your rule that people shouldn't speak for other people, where does that leave every political and social commentator? Where in fact does it leave you? You purport to speak for me when you assert that I believe that I speak for everyone. Try again sober. If you are unable to follow an argument it doesn't mean that the person delivering it is drunk. There could be other reasons... Bill |

The successive stages of development of PSB in the UK were not, until quite recently, determined exclusively by market forces. Bill So which side of this fence are you on? A. All allocations should be decided by tender. obviously we actually have something somewhere in between Something in between is fine, except that at present it's skewed towards the free market and away from PSB principles. This country has always had problems finding sensible compromises between market and public-good principles. In the 60s it was too far one way; post-Thatch it was too far the other. Bill |

Well, you seem to believe you can speak for everyone, so why not him? Or does hypocrisy only apply to other people? Perhaps you'd give a concrete example of where I've claimed to speak for others? Or are you just making things up - again? You don't. Thank gawd. Likewise for you. (a) In parts of London it is now commonplace to see persons hawking and spitting in the street. I do not recall seeing this in the UK until relatively recently, I guess you see what you want. Spiting happened all the time in Southampton, probably still does. White male chavs with all the appearance and language of being native British. I'm sure that type of person can be found anywhere.
