No sign of them on Mendip, Freesat or Sky. Did I get the date wrong?

I got them on Freesat.
The 2 children's BBC HD were on when I got up and News came on just before
08:30 am.
Personally I do not think cartoons and News need HD.

David

I was just thinking that news in HD sounds a bit strange. I'd have thought
the money for this was better spent on resources to get the news, rather
than making the blood and guts look more real.

Well I disagree over the news, I've seen some very nice quality pictures
from all over place on BBC 1 HD News, and it's fun to try
and spot what carrier bags the BBC journos in the background are using
to smuggle the office stationary home in.

As for the BBC children's channels, well, I seemingly don't watch them
as much as you do, because I don't think I've ever noticed a cartoon on
either of them ?
