Well, macro regional, it seemed to be all the northern England ITV regions
affected, which points to a problem at ITV's northern playout centre in Leeds.

(Leeds also feeds all of Central's transmitters)

Did this fault affect the HD channels, or Freesat?

According to the DigitalSpy crowd, no.

Yes, several from around the same bit of Britain. Not sure about anywhere
else though as I was otherwise engaged last night.

No resilience then? Thought it was like the BBC's Code & Mux centres
and would switch to all through the other centre?

Well it's still unclear where and what the fault was within the Leeds playout
centre, the switching to the London playout might have happened for D-Sat
because someone watching Tyne Tees on D-Sat reported on Digital Spy that the
ads were from the Meridian region. So maybe the just DTT feeds failed to
switch over ?
