Freeview - scattered EPG.
SG6 area - Sandy Heath.
Went to check for anything worth recording and there were a lot of holes in the EPG. Switching off and back on again produced a small improvement - the holes seemed to get worse the more I searched. Some channels had big gaps in the EPG, but the listings were there for several days time. Seems a bit weird - has anyone else noticed anything? Thanks. |

Yes, this seems to be the case on my Goodmans Smart talk for quite a while
now. I'm going along the channels, for say 9pm and suddenly its for tuesday the xx of June instead of today. Pull the plug wait half an hour and it may or may not return to normal. Its as if the data is delivered like old fashioned teletext where you only got the page you wanted when it came around in the loop, but other stuff you did not want came first and as there were gaps you just got thrown to the only data it had at that time. The question is, why is this going on, and also who is responsible? Brian -- From the Sofa of Brian Gaff Reply address is active "Ian Field" wrote in message ... SG6 area - Sandy Heath. Channel4 quality control at its best, no doubt. Clem |

When the signal deteriorates badly - the Digifusion is best for the low channels and the Humax best for the high channels. |

On Freesat my TV sometimes gets confused and reloads it. |

The Samsung always has a full EPG, never known it to be missing anything, but the Toshiba often has great gaps, and the only way to fill them is to change to a different MUX, and then go back, so that it reloads. -- Davey. |

You're not the only one. We have a Panny in the lounge, a M&S in the kitchen (only has now and next) and two LG's in bedrooms and none of them miss a beat, but the Sharp in our bedroom is absoultely useless. It either has nothing or most of what it does have is wrong - radio progs in TV etc etc. I have tried a direct feed (i.e. not through distribution,) have fitted a whole range of attenuators, but none of them have any effect. We have a Sharp in the caravan on the drive and even despite a crap signal from the 'van aerial it too never misses a beat. D'oh! -- Woody harrogate three at ntlworld dot com |
