OT Escaped Lion?
A lion on the loose has been reported in the Clacton on Sea (Essex) area. The local (BBC) radio has just reported that the Police have set up road blocks! Perhaps the Police believe the lion is driving a 4x4. This is the same radio station that reported that snow is cold and white and floodplains flood as headline news items. -- mailto:news{at}admac(dot}myzen{dot}co{dot}uk |

The sporran is very tasty as a side dish. The meat can be tough though. In the case of young specimens it is often easier to simply decapitate, and remove the entrails, at the side of the road, and roast the rest of the carcass whole. The trend amongst the young for tattoos makes identification easier, so it's best to check for tats and hack them off. The meat is best hung for a while before cooking. In the case of vandals and muggers the hanging can be done prior to death. Bill |

This only happened to me once - ~ summer 1972 I stayed in a mate from school's family retreat in Wiltshire. I was driving a foreign visitor back from the pub a couple of weeks ago, down a narrow country lane at dusk. It was only about four miles worth, but we saw several rabbits, and a fox. He was amazed to see so much wildlife in such a short period. I told him, the danger was deer running out in front. Seconds later right on cue one leapt out in front of us, I slowed right down, and carried on creeping along. He asked why ? Right on cue again, a second one crossed at the same point. -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. www.paras.org.uk |
