S4C HD ( Clirlun ) to be ditched at the end of 2012

All said without a hint of irony. Many neo-fascists maintain a state of denial for many years. Applying the principles of doublethink helps as well to maintain their position. "When Mussolini was subjecting the Italian working class to his castor oil 'treatments' and other bestial tortures, Churchill became deeply impressed with his 'gentle and simple bearing'." |

Does your wife regard all spoken communication which is not in English to be "babbling"? Wouldn't know seeing as it was me who mentioned babbling - as in "to idly chatter". No offense was meant, but if you want to find some, knock yourself out. |

The fault here is with you wife's employers. If they expect a non-speaker to use Welsh they should be arrange lessons for her.

The definition of babble which relates to its most common use is "to utter in an incoherently or meaninglessly repetitious manner" Another other definition is "to talk enthusiastically or excessively" No offense as to your lack of knowledge of what the word babble means in common use is herebly implied. |

In what way would it have been an advantage to have been educated entirely in Welsh? |
