Yes they have only just recently gone FTA on satellite, but have
they been added to the Freesat EGP yet?

No idea, don't use Freesat, as in a Freesat box. I use MediaPortal on a PC,
Freeview HD, Freesat (If I must call it that) all on one box, with the
tuners all merged together.

On satellite there are (as far as I can tell) only three ITV1 HD
streams -- ITV-1 HD London (which is DVB-s)

Correct

ITV-1 HD Granada (which is DVB-s2)

Not S2

and ITV1-HD Merdidian South East, which is DVB-s2 but strangely is
Videoguard encrypted so is only available to $ky receivers.

Would that be the one on 1084700 with BBC HD & BBC 1 HD? King of Sat
doesn't mention the region, but it is S2.

There's also a Jock version on the same transponer as the Granada version,
along with a Central West version which bizarrely is encrypted but the
other 2 aren't.

As far as I can see each station does not have its own programme
controller: there is but one UKTV Programme Controller -- Emma Tennant.

Question: Who appoints the Programme Controller?

Answer: UKTV CEO Darren Childs who was previously managing director
of BBC Worldwide, in other words a BBC man.

So you see, in reality, the BBC has extensive control over UKTV stations
and Scrips Interactive Services is more or less a sleeping partner.

Quite a few of the relay transmitter (including my mother's

show C5 so the 4 channels was it.

Even if the relay was not converted, more than 70% of the population was
in reach of a C5 analogue transmitter, just many of them had neither the
time or inclination (or money) to put up a second aerial for the out of
band (90% of the time) and different direction of the weaker C5
transmitter.

Sales of special aerials for C5 were minuscule. I think we sold about ten.

I've just been appointed to my new job by the American MD.

I'm probably never going to see him again, since I'll work under the
British team.

Does that mean this American has extensive control over how I do my job
in Hungary or Czech?

Have a guess as to how may letters the single word answer has.

Possibly. Or it could have been your uncontrollable sexual urges.

or even lack of. Where did the milkman spend the night? ITWSBT.

In 1966, at the age of three, I managed to trap my fingers in my father's 1/4
inch tape recorder, (curiosity killed the cat and all that), my mother ran out
into the road to seek help, and the milkman came to my rescue. (Well, that's
the story I was told)

Anyway, if you are a milkman, be careful:-

And Film4.

Film 4 and Film 4 +1 are both available free-to-air from Astra 1N
on transponder 41 frequency 10,714 GHz Horizontal polarisation

and are on the Freesat EPG at LCN 301 and LCN 302 respectively.

That does not help people who have aerial based Digital TV equipment,
not satellite.
