Mythtv 0.25 released.

Hi folks,
Mythtv has now reached 0.25 as a stable release. There are a lot of
changes in it this time so you really need to read up before you
upgrade, particularly with regards to Video code support.

If you are feeling brave you can compile your own Mythtv system or wait
for the binary repos to catchup.

Rob.

It's an opensource multimedia system, most people use it on Linux (but
it supports Mac and Windows to some extent) probably as a glorified PVR,
it can do a lot more than that, but that's the gist.

It is also intrinsically networked. Although it can run on a single
computer, it is possible to put the recording computer(s) in a
convenient place (loft, office) and have the viewing computer(s) (maybe
smaller and lower noise) connected to the TV.

Hacked Hauppauge MediaMVP make good SD front-ends, I use an Acer Revo
for HD.

The frontend itself uses Qt if that helps, then there's a web frontend,
not seen 0.25 yet though ...
