BBC4 at approx 21-30 tonight.
 

Was watching the program on Fairgrounds, BBC4 9pm, and just before 9-30 pm
it was the program on BBC! on houses that was on for about 1 minute, this
was on Freesat.

Apparently Monday's New Tricks on BBC 1 had in some regions/platforms a burst
of Eastenders' title sequence halfway through the programme.

Looks as if Red Bee's central routing matrix has acquired a mind of its own,
or (more likely) someone who doesn't know what they're doing is playing with it.

Another of those seems to have got at the CH5 audio processing. Watched
the new CSI Miami last night and the audio was pumping badly. Fast attack
and slower recovery - which made the background extremely loud when there
was no dialogue. Rather like a basic limiter than Optimod or whatever. But
the peak levels weren't high.

Right. I was listening in stereo off FreeView.

It could have been CSI Miami.

I remember reporting the same thing on "The Event" a few months back.

Can't see just why it would make the ordinary stereo sound dreadful, but
it did.

About 1 minute after the start of this weeks Police Interceptors on C5 the
program abruptly cut to an ad break and after about 15 secs cut back to the
programme.

It seems to be on all sorts of programmes, and it's 'orrible, distracting
and fatiguing to listen to. Please switch it off and put it back how it was.

It actually makes listening to some programmes much harder, due to the
increased background junk (which is now mid-ground and advancing), and I
wonder how many people with hearing problems will be inconvenienced by this
"exciting new change" ?
