Sandy Heath DSO - problem

I've just done a Digital Auto tune.
It states "successful, 120 channels found"

But no BBC1 or BBC2.
ITV, 4, 5, are fine

I suspect a software bug in my brand new Sony 32CX503 TV

Any similar experiences ?
Thanks

Have you tried a reboot (power cycle)? My Sony VTX-D800U box was
behaving very weirdly until I rebooted it.

Reboot before (or after?) retuning might be good general advice.

It's not a bug.

You pressed "RETURN" after doing the autotune which is like pressing "Cancel"
in Windows - which went back to how it was before you did the auto tune.

Try doing the autotune again and pressing select/enter (in the middle of the
joypad) when it's finished.

The on-screen messages on Sony TVs are confusing in this regard, they say
something like

^V Continue [RETURN] Go back

Where ^V refers to the picture of the joypad. Most people only notice
[RETURN] and hence undo the auto tune.

You are so correct !
Negative Kudos to Sony for confusing on screen instructions.
[Looking more and very carefully, there was a "+" = centre button for
Continue - so partly my fault.]

Still not 100% there, as now have lots from 800 to 815, including
BBC4, Beebies, BBC radio stations, Channel Zero.

Thanks.

That's right, you will have, until DSO 2 stage in a fortnight.

The new high power BBC A Mux that came on air last night, contains all
BBC SD TV channels, and BBC Radio.

The old low power BBC B Mux, that still remains, carries BBC4, CBeebies,
and BBC Radio.

Low power Mux B goes at DSO 2 to be replaced by the HD Mux, so for a
fortnight you will have those channels duplicated, until you rescan a
fortnight from today.

Thanks for the explanation.
Really looking forward to the start of the HD mux - partly why I
bought this TV.

Luckily the 800 channels should be the old mux B (ch67) as they would
have been found after the new mux on ch27.

Does anyone know why they left the old mux B on as well? Surely they
should have turned it off at the same time to avoid this confusion?

The old pre DSO Mux B also contains Sky Sports 1 and 2, as subscription
services.

These are carried on post DSO transmitters on the COM muxes, but not on
the pre DSO low power COM muxes. The extra space on the high power COMs
to accommodate them is made available by reducing the FEC rate slightly,
you can't get away with doing that on the low power pre DSO muxes.

Thanks, forgot about those as I delete them on sight!
