Small screen TV with Freeview HD

I know that I shall not see the benefit of HD on 19 inch TV. However, in
order to be able to watch all the available Freeview channels , such as BBC
HD, Freeview HD is needed. And yes, I now that programs on BBC HD tend
to be repeats but, the scheduled time may just suit me and, without Freeview
HD, I would not have the option to watch it. Also, I do not want a big TV
in my bedroom or extra boxes.

Are there any such TVs?

Bit muddled.

AFAIK no small (= 22") 1080p Freeview HD sets yet, but several 1080p sets,
including LG M227W and Samsung XL2270HD, which will take BBC HD from Freesat
or Freeview HD boxes.

Are you sure about that?

It handles "DVB-T/C" which is presumably DVB-T and DVB-C.
It also handles H.264 but there is no mention of DVB-T2 which is the
standard for Freeview HD.

You don't really mean "such as". BBC HD is the only Freeview HD
channel that isn't the same as an SD channel.

Presumably within a couple of years DVB-T2 tuners will become common
even in TVs with non-HD screens.

Indeed. But I understood that the OP was asking about a TV with Freeview
HD built in.

Yes and no. I was talking to someone who chatted to a John Lewis guy a while
back, and they say that there are some monitors that coupled to a small stb,
will do this, so you may have to swallow and go down this seperates route I
suppose.

The usual arguement is that HD is of no benefit below a certain
size - most often quoted at 37". My daughter has a Sony 32" 1080p
and I can see the difference but it is not really that marked. At
19" or 22" I doubt it would be visible at all!
