I never understand why people do this. Why throw it away when you've still got the item to which it refers? It's just a stupid thing to do, but then most people seem to be stupid or pig-headed about such matters. I've just spent half of today cleaning out my study. It's amazing how many sets of instructions I had for items that have long since been scrapped. And a pile of obsolete PC games 2ft high... (anyone?) Andy |

Have you considered giving up trying? Yes, with morons like you. Why throw it away when you've still got the item to which it refers? Oh my god! The paperwork retention police are coming to get me! How could I have done something so stupid? I shall have to consider suicide. It's the only way I can get myself out of this *terrible* mess I've got myself into. You were the one moaning you didn't have the paperwork. I couldn't give a **** what you do, but don't come on hear moaning about your own stupidity. Your post was a *properly* stupid thing to do. The attitude and tone make you come across as a complete bellend I'm afraid. Ooooooo.... jerry insult Talking about yourself again. /jerry insult I knew your reaction would be like this. You blame me for exposing your cluelessness and stupidity. Typical of arses like you. |

I don't recall "moaning" anywhere. The paperwork is gone. I know it's a dreadful state-of-affairs being left with a four-year-old telly and no paperwork, but I've got over it. I think you need to do the same. I couldn't give a **** what you do Oh come now. You seem to be taking quite an interest. but don't come on hear moaning about your own stupidity. The word is "here". What were you saying about stupidity again? Your post was a *properly* stupid thing to do. The attitude and tone make you come across as a complete bellend I'm afraid. Ooooooo.... jerry insult Talking about yourself again. /jerry insult I knew your reaction would be like this. Of course you did. Surely the sole intention of your first post was to start some kind of slanging match. If it wasn't, then you seriously need to develop a *much* less confrontational writing style. You blame me for exposing your cluelessness and stupidity. Typical of arses like you. You ask pretty-much specifically for a fight, then you act all hurt at the very first handbag-swing. I was only trying to give you what you so obviously wanted. There's just no pleasing some people. Cheers, Colin. |

On the subject of missing instruction books, when my plumber came round
he read the model number off the boiler and said, 'Mind if I use your computer, guvnor*, 'cos my laptop is ****ed'. He then downloaded the user instructions and the service sheet. *the use of the word 'guvnor' is part of our elaborate game of master and servant. When I fix his satellite system I call him 'guvnor'. Hi all, I have a four year old Samsung 32" LCD telly which doesn't seem to be wearing very well. It's sprouted some dark patches on the panel... http://www.stamp.plus.com/Photos/duff_telly.JPG It's not all that bad yet - I had to select the shade of grey quite carefully to get it to show-up for the photo. It is noticeable fairly often when watching TV though, so it's given me an excuse to look for a new set. Every cloud has a silver lining :o) I just wondered whether anyone else has seen this kind of deterioration. It's not something I expected on an LCD. It's used as a PC monitor quite a lot and it often ends up showing a static image for quite a while. I don't recognise the shape of the blotches though. Another possibility is that it occasionally cops some direct sunlight through a venetian blind, which might account for the horizontal lines, though I'd have thought the shadows would have swept across the screen as the sun moved. Any ideas? Cheers, Colin. Try this if you can plug a PC into the TV. http://www.jscreenfix.com/ It might just work. |
