DSO - how many retunes?!!

Anyone else noticed the palava at Sandy Heath. How many retunes will be
required by viewers over the next few months?!

First BBC2 will go in March and be replaced by BBC A. The three PSB
multiplexes will move to the old analogue frequencies for C4, ITV and BBC2.
in April. This is normal. But, the three commercial multiplexes at Sandy
Heath will remain on their pre-switchover channels and powers for a period
after digital switchover. SDN will then temporarily move to channel 31 (at
20kW ERP) during the August 2011, before adopting its final allocation of
channel 51 in 2012. Arqiva A will temporarily move to channel 67 during
August 2011 before adopting its final allocation of channel 52 in late 2011.
Arqiva B will adopt its final allocation of channel 48 during September 2011.

It's one of a couple that need to move to allow DSO to take place
in other areas. Another example(ish) is that Sitton Coldfield and
Emley Moor and all relays (86 in total) all have to be done on
the same night because of channel overlaps/allocations. There are
also issues with Belmont/Chesterfield/Sheffield/Emley which
require retunes.

Don't think you are alone.

retirement;?...

Waltham and Sudbury are similarly affected. Have a read through the 'Facing
DSO and the filter retunes' thread that was running in here last month.
