Cheap as chips or cheap s**t? I need to set up a couple of extra TV points and the easiest thing for me to do would be to throw up another aerial instead of rewire my existing one. I can get the full monty of Freeview channels on an indoor aerial so would this be ok in say, the loft? Or at a push I can put it outdoors. I'm 16 miles from Crytal Palace with a clear view to the transmitter @224 degrees. I do like cheap things (i've already got cable clips etc) and this seems to fit the bill. Ta muchly for any advice |

That's almost what i'm thinking. I've got a group A strapped to the chimney, but don't want to faff with the existing cabling. At least this will get my sorting the new cabling out and remove the indoor jobby which is currently interfering with the Mrs Dressing Table. If worst come to worst i'll have the work done and just swap the antenna if it does turn out to be a pile of dog doo. Ta |

I think it has plastiky bits, so, for longevity, it might be better to put it in the loft (unless it has to point through an obstruction). It's really only a 7-element aerial, and it's wideband, so the gain will won't be very high (say 5dB?) - but it should be OK where you are. You could give it a try but, unfortunately "Home delivery currently out of stock NOT Available In Store" I like, in 'Product Details' "Amplifies up to any dB"!! -- Ian |

Why use an unweildy thing like that when a ten element Gp A will easily outperform it? Bill |

Why use an unweildy thing like that when a ten element Gp A will easily outperform it? I'll take a look at the weekend to see if I can find one locally. It's only because I was headed to homebase anyway when I spotted it on their web site and it looked cheap. Lucky escape it is then. Thanks Bill |

A 10 element group A (Antiference TCX10A) won't cost much more than that, will be half the size and outperform it. |
